In over three years at Collider, senior author Jake has now penned over 2500 articles covering a wide range of TV and film for the resources, lists, utilities, news, and interview teams. Alongside interviewing stars such as Selin Hizli, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Harlan Coben, and Chelsea Peretti, Jake was lucky enough to visit the set of Aardman and Netflix's Wallace and Gromit: A Vengeance Most Fowl in 2024, getting the chance to chat with four-time Academy Award winner Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham. Jake has also worked for other publications, including Agents of Fandom

This box office weekend, the new arrivals come from the horror and action genres. YouTube star Markiplier's (aka Mark Fischbach) horror film, Iron Lung, is an adaptation of the 2022 video game of the same name; Sam Raimi’s Send Help sees the iconic director return to horror for the first time in 17 years; and Jason Statham’s latest action thriller, Shelter, is the British tough-man's first 'dad movie' of 2026. If you prefer something different or would rather get your action or horror fix from the comfort of your own home, here's a look at the three Prime Video movies you should stream this weekend.

3 'The Wrecking Crew' (2026)

Rotten Tomatoes: 79% | IMDb: 6.6/10

No list of Prime Video recommendations for this weekend would be complete without the streamer's biggest new arrival. Starring Hollywood action veterans Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista, The Wrecking Crew follows two estranged brothers who, after their father's death, set out to find the truth and encounter far more danger than they had bargained for.

A kick-ass action flick that has taken critics by surprise, The Wrecking Crew feels like the first in a potentially lucrative franchise for Prime Video. Collider’s Jeff Ewing gave the film an 8/10 in his review, calling Bautista and Momoa the "perfect duo" and adding, "It's a fun narrative, the action elements are well done and uncompromising, and the jokes work." Don't miss out on a movie guaranteed to jump straight to the top of the streaming charts.

2 'Along Came Polly' (2004)

Rotten Tomatoes: 27% | IMDb: 6.0/10

Written and directed by John Hamburg, Along Came Polly follows Ben Stiller's risk analyst, Reuben Feffer, whose life begins to spiral when he spots his wife (Debra Messing) cheating on him on their honeymoon. With nowhere to turn, Reuben finds a glimmer of hope through a reconnection with his former middle-school classmate, Polly Prince (Jennifer Aniston), a woman completely his opposite.

Sure, Hamburg's Along Came Polly has its flaws and was torn apart by critics upon arrival. However, audiences were more receptive to this mid-noughties rom-com that has a neat tinge of nostalgia for a golden age of the genre for a 2026 viewer. With Stiller and Anniston in the leading roles and the likes of Philip Seymour Hoffman and Hank Azaria supporting, this is sure to at least put a smile on your face.

1 'Rabbit Hole' (2010)

Rotten Tomatoes: 86% | IMDb: 6.9/10

Nicole Kidman is one of the true greats of 21st-century cinema. Ahead of her upcoming long-awaited sequel to 1998's Practical Magic, why not check out a performance that earned her an Academy Award nomination back in 2011? The powerful Rabbit Hole follows the life of a seemingly perfect couple as their world is torn apart following the sudden loss of their son in an accident.

Prepare plenty of tissues for a viewing of Rabbit Hole, with this John Cameron Mitchell movie certain to leave you in floods of tears. Featuring strong supporting performances from the likes of Dianne Wiest, Aaron Eckhart, and a young Miles Teller, Rabbit Hole would be nothing without Kidman's stunning and moving central performance — one that could very well be her career-best.
