Prime Video subscribers have come to the right place to look for something to watch this coming weekend, as a couple of films are about to leave the streamer, and a trending movie joins the list. On last weekend's Prime Video movie recommendations, we had Smurfs, Good Will Hunting, and The Tank, three completely different movies with a range of tones.

This weekend's selection of Prime Video movies includes a Sci-Fi epic from one of Hollywood's biggest directors of all time, a superhero movie that paved the way for everything we see today from Marvel Studios' slate of projects, and an underrated crime thriller. These are the best movies to watch on Prime Video:

3 Ready Player One (2018)

To start the list is the film that is currently trending as the 6th most-watched film on Prime Video in the United States. I believe that Ready Player One very much deserves its ongoing streaming resurgence, as the sci-fi movie perfectly encapsulates what makes a cyberpunk story work.

8 Years Later, A Hit Sci-Fi Cyberpunk Movie Keeps Getting Better

Directed by one of Hollywood's best, this Sci-Fi movie is a perfect showcase of what cyberpunk is, and it's worth watching after streaming resurgence.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, viewers are transported to OASIS, a virtual reality where many of their favorite franchises, like DC and Game of Thrones, come crashing for a series of crossovers that only help make this adventure across several creative worlds more exciting. With stars like Fox X-Men's Tye Sheridan and House of the Dragon's Olivia Cooke, the sci-fi epic is a fun watch.

2 Blade (1998)

Marvel Studios can't seem to get its Blade movie with Mahershala Ali to work. Thankfully, fans of the character, or those wanting to get to know Blade in some form while the MCU tries to get that film rolling, can check out Wesley Snipes' first movie as the Daywalker.

1998's Blade is a bloody action thriller that paved the way for all the superhero releases that came after it. R-rated action and a magnetic turn from the effortlessly cool Snipes make this a superhero movie that is impossible to look away from. Blade is reportedly leaving Prime Video on January 31, so it's time to check it out while you still can!

1 Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018)

The last movie I recommend watching on Prime Video this weekend is the sequel to the crime thriller Sicario. Day of the Soldado might not reach the same heights as the first movie did. However, it remains a star-studded affair with plenty of thrills and creative twists that should entertain viewers.

The movie's cast includes names like Benicio del Toro (One Battle After Another), Josh Brolin (Avengers: Endgame), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), David Castañeda (The Umbrella Academy), and more. Sicario: Day of the Soldado explores topics like drug wars, cartels, and smuggling, making for an intense crime thriller worth watching on Prime Video this weekend.
