A free iPhone 16e and a cheap unlimited data plan - what's not to love about this deal at Metro by T-Mobile?

Great iPhone deals are a dime a dozen these days at the major carriers, but meaningful price cuts at smaller (and cheaper) carriers are often a little harder to find. Right now, however, there is one notable exception with Metro by T-Mobile's promotion on the iPhone 16e.

This excellent mid-range device, which is rated as our top budget iPhone, is currently free if you pair it up with an unlimited data plan at the carrier. It needs to be a plan valued at over $50/mo, but no trade-ins or other steps are needed here, so it's a really flexible offer that comes in pretty cheap for a single-line user.

A similar deal at one of the major carriers will likely clock in at around $70 to $90 per month, depending on your plan, so this is definitely a compelling deal when paired with Metro's $50/mo 'Unlimited 5G data' plan. That's a plan that not only features unlimited data, but 8GB of hotspot allowance, 100GB of Google Cloud storage, and membership to the useful T-Mobile Tuesdays perks program.
