Apple TV has just delivered a gift to fans of its critically acclaimed hard-boiled detective drama. The streamer has released the first official images from Sugar Season 2 and also announced that the show’s sophomore season will return on June 19. Sugar Season 2 will follow the return of John Sugar (Colin Farrell) as he works on a new case, which is tracking the troubled older brother of an up-and-coming local boxer, as his search for his beloved missing sister continues. As the investigation expands into a city-wide conspiracy with sinister intentions, Sugar must reckon with himself to decide just how far he’ll go to do what’s right.

The new images, which can be found below, show off the first look at Collin Farrell’s return as John Sugar, along with Laura Donnelly, Jin Ha, and even Shea Whigham. The first episode of Sugar Season 2 will begin streaming on June 19, and new episodes will be released weekly until it culminates in the Season 2 finale on August 7. Tony Dalton and Raymond Lee will also star in the second season of Sugar, along with former Supergirl actress Sasha Calle. The first season of Sugar was hailed as “one of the best neo-noir detective thrillers in years.”

The first season of Sugar earned scores of 81% from critics and 80% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and it spent weeks atop Apple TV streaming charts. Season 2 has lofty expectations to meet, but with Farrell returning and a host of new stars, there’s no reason Sugar Season 2 can’t be every bit as good as Season 1. Sugar Season 2 is created by Mark Protosevich and showrun by Sam Catlin, who also executive produces with Simon Kinberg.
