Bradley Dack is ‘furious’ after being portrayed as the 'bad guy' in his split from wife Olivia Attwood, claiming he and the ex-Love Island star are both to blame.

ITV favourite Olivia, 34, announced their separation last weekend in what friends of Bradley, 32, have dubbed a ‘carefully orchestrated PR campaign’ to ensure she came out of the break-up with her reputation intact.

The reality star claimed husband of two years Bradley had ‘crossed a line’ and ‘breached her trust’, which left the footballer fuming as he says Olivia has hardly been perfect either.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a close friend of Bradley’s said: ‘He’s angry and hurt that all the blame is being put on him. Olivia is making him out to be the bad guy but it’s not as simple as that.

'He is being accused by her people in a carefully orchestrated PR campaign of crossing a line and breaching trust, but there has been bad behaviour from her during their time together too. It's not all one-sided.

‘There have been a lot of problems going on in the marriage for quite some time and they’ve both got a part to play in that. If there has been a breach of trust, then that’s not just down to him.’

The friend added: ‘I’m not saying Bradley’s been perfect and I’m not going to go into details about his “breach of trust”- let’s just say it’s old behaviour.

'But neither of them have been perfect and it’s not right to say that he’s the one completely in the wrong.’

Olivia has moved out of their central London apartment while Bradley, who plays for League Two side Gillingham has been spending more time with his parents in Kent

Another friend added: ‘His family and close friends are supporting him, and all believe that his role in all this is being unfairly portrayed.

'Olivia is a big name, she’s got a TV show and other people backing her. ‘Bradley has just got his family and pals. It’s not been easy for him but he’s doing all right given what’s going on.’

Olivia has become one of the hottest properties on ITV, landing prominent roles on Loose Women, This Morning as well as halting her own shows Bad Boyfriends, Getting Filthy Rich and The Price Of Perfection.

Since starring on Love Island and a brief stint on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me out of Here!, she has landed a weekly spot on Kiss FM Radio with Pete Wicks and has launched her own podcast, Olivia's House.

And just last year, Olivia revealed she received multiple offers from US bosses, making her plans to crack America possible.

Bradley, who plays for League Two side Gillingham, has been spending more time with his parents in Kent following the recent collapse of his marriage

The footballer has failed to hit the heights on the pitch having struggled with injuries in recent years following spells at Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland

Bradley's work schedule is a stark contrast to Olivia as she continues to climb to the top of her industry.

The footballer, who first started dating Olivia in over a decade ago, has failed to hit the heights on the pitch having struggled with injuries in recent years following spells at Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland.

Earlier this week, The Daily Mail revealed that Olivia had hired Callum Bracken, a former ITV publicity manager as a personal publicist to handle news of the split and her impending divorce.

Sources claimed there has been ‘panic’ behind the scenes over Olivia’s very close friendship with her radio co-host Wicks and the swirling rumours that have followed them for months.

They were pictured looking close on a boat in Ibiza last year, leading Olivia to admit that she had endured a ‘challenging’ six months in her relationship with Bradley.

An insider said: ‘The situation has been chaotic for months. Olivia didn’t know what to do and neither did her agents, so she hired a personal PR.

‘She’s been terrified that her personal life was about to overshadow her professional one. It’s been chaos with everyone panicking about how she could get out of her marriage unscathed.

‘It was suggested that she hire Bracken because of his links to ITV – and she did. It seemed like the perfect solution. ITV loves Olivia, they have big plans for her this year and so the last thing they want around her is crisis and negative press.’

Last year, Olivia admitted to The Daily Mail: 'Me and Brad never pretend to have a perfect relationship, we have been up, down, left, backwards, and the last six months have been really challenging for us.

'It's the boring side of being an adult in a long-term relationship, we constantly have to work at it and that's just the truth.’

She added: 'I have messed up and done stuff, Brad has messed up. It's really easy to pretend you're perfect but no one is if you just dig a little deeper.'

Olivia is now escaping the heartbreak of her marriage split with a girls' getaway to Dubai.

Behind the scenes, sources say she is 'devastated' but leaning on the support of close friends and family.

Despite Bradley's alleged 'breach of trust,' insiders reveal Olivia has no intention of 'berating' him online or in the press, and there is still a lot of 'respect' between them, which she hopes to maintain through the divorce proceedings.

The TV presenter, 34, has booked the trip with her closest friends, as insiders say it's the 'tonic she needs' after a heavy start to the year.

Following the end of her 10-year relationship with Bradley, whom she met before appearing on Love Island in 2017, Olivia has publicly put on a brave face, only postponing work commitments for a couple of days while she processes the breakup.

When Bradley first signed to Gillingham in 2012, Olivia was a motorsport grid girl before she was thrust into the spotlight when she joined Love Island in 2017.

The couple first met in 2015, two years before she signed up to the show after discovering Bradley had cheated during the early months of their romance.

They later reconciled months after Olivia's fling with former co-star Chris Hughes ended, and Bradley proposed during a romantic Dubai getaway in 2019.
