It is finally time for Benedict to get his love story, and with Bridgerton season 4 comes several new characters. The second-eldest Bridgerton son has never fancied himself the marrying kind, but in the Netflix romance series' fourth installment, he may just change his tune after a romantic encounter with the beguiling Lady in Silver at his mother Violet's masquerade ball.
Little does he know, his mystery woman is actually a maid named Sophie Baek. Like Benedict, Sophie never expected to find romance at the ball — she was just hoping for a temporary escape from the drudgery of working as a maid the steely Lady Araminta, and tending to the frivolous needs of Araminta's high-born daughters.
Along with these new additions, most of Bridgerton's beloved ensemble returns for season 4, from Benedict's confidant and fellow black sheep sibling, Eloise, to last season's central couple, Colin and Penelope Bridgerton. As usual with Bridgerton, the main storyline isn't the only romance of the season, so expect many hearts to flutter.

Thompson eventually made the transition to the screen, notably playing Simon in the BBC drama, In the Club, from 2014-2016 before making his feature film debut in the cast of Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk as a warrant officer. His breakout performance as Benedict in Bridgerton remains Thompson's most famous role.

In film, Wei played Zadie in the controversial 2024 remake of The Crow.
