While Chris Pratt’s new sci-fi movie with Rebecca Ferguson struggles to get off the ground at the box office, one of his more recent sci-fi hits is surging on streaming charts. In 2021, Pratt teamed up with J.K. Simmons and Sam Richardson for The Tomorrow War, the sci-fi thriller following a man who is sent forward in time to stop an inevitable war with a dangerous race of aliens. The Tomorrow War is an Amazon Original film, and the film is also streaming on HBO Max globally, where it’s in the global top 10 in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and more.

In America, The Tomorrow War is also streaming on Peacock in addition to Prime Video and Amazon MGM+. The Tomorrow War picks up following the life of Dan Forester, a man living a normal life, when one night someone from the future comes back to warn the people of the present about the looming war. Dan Forester, a former operative, inevitably gets drafted to be sent to the future, where he solves the problem with his daughter, Colonel Muri Forester (Yvonne Strahovski). This leads Dan to reunite with his father, James (Simmons), in the present to get to the root of the alien issue.

Zach Dean wrote the script for The Tomorrow War, and Chris McKay stepped behind the camera to direct the film. McKay is also famous for directing The LEGO Batman Movie, and he worked with Nicolas Cage on Renfield. The Tomorrow War was panned by critics, leading to it earning a 51% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It earned a more respectable score of 76% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter, and it was released directly to streaming on Prime Video and therefore had no theatrical box office earnings.

Is Chris Pratt’s ‘Mercy’ Streaming Anywhere?

Mercy, the new sci-fi film starring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson, is not currently streaming anywhere in America. The film is playing exclusively in theaters, and it likely won’t even arrive on PVOD for a few more weeks. It is tracking to perform quite poorly at the box office, which could lead to it arriving on digital platforms earlier than planned. Once it begins streaming, it will debut on either Prime Video or Amazon MGM+ as a film backed by Amazon.

Be sure to check out The Tomorrow War on Prime Video or Peacock in America, and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.
