Back in 2021, Hannah’s love of all things nerdy collided with her passion for writing — and she hasn’t stopped since. She covers pop culture news, writes reviews, and conducts interviews on just about every kind of media imaginable. If she’s not talking about something spooky, she’s talking about gaming, and her favorite moments in anything she’s read, watched, or played are always the scariest ones. For Hannah, nothing beats the thrill of discovering what’s lurking in the shadows or waiting around the corner for its chance to go bump in the night. Once described as “strictly for the sickos,” she considers it the highest of compliments.
Fans of Critical Role will have a rare opportunity to meet some of the franchise’s newest faces this spring. Collider is thrilled to partner with Awesome Con to officially announce that Whitney Moore, Alexander Ward, and Luis Carazo will make their first-ever comic con appearances at the event in March 2026, marking a significant milestone for the ever-growing tabletop phenomenon. The trio will be joined by longtime Critical Role cast members Sam Riegel and Taliesin Jaffe, both of whom are familiar faces on the convention circuit.
All five performers will appear on Saturday and Sunday, March 14–15, 2026, in Washington, D.C., at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, where fans can participate in photo ops, autograph sessions, and panels focused on the past, present, and future of Critical Role.
A Landmark Moment for Critters and New Cast Members
Critical Role began as a home Dungeons & Dragons game among professional voice actors and has since transformed into a global entertainment powerhouse. What started as a livestream has grown into a franchise that spans multiple long-running campaigns, best-selling novels and comics, tabletop games, sold-out live shows, and the hit animated series The Legend of Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein on Prime Video. Known for its emotionally driven storytelling, deeply realized characters, and inclusive community, Critical Role has helped propel tabletop role-playing games into mainstream pop culture. Its dedicated fanbase — affectionately known as “Critters” — continues to grow alongside the franchise itself, making major convention appearances increasingly noteworthy events.
The inclusion of Moore, Ward, and Carazo at Awesome Con 2026 reflects that evolution. Their debut convention appearances signal a new chapter for Critical Role as it expands its roster and creative ambitions, offering fans a chance to connect with the next generation of talent shaping the franchise.
Awesome Con is expected to draw more than 60,000 attendees to Washington, D.C. as the convention celebrates geek culture across comics, film, television, gaming, cosplay, and fandom spaces, with special features including Awesome Con Jr., Pride Alley, and Destination Cosplay. The event is produced by LeftField Media, whose portfolio also includes Rose City Comic Con, Anime NYC, and Anime Frontier. Attendee badges for Awesome Con 2026 are now available through the convention’s official website.
Stay tuned with Collider for more Critical Role universe news in the future.
