It's a great time to be a Dylan O'Brien fan, as his overlooked 2025 dark comedy movie becomes a streaming hit just days before the arrival of his upcoming horror thriller, Send Help.

O'Brien, who rose to fame in the early 2010s from his roles in TV shows like Teen Wolf and blockbuster movies like The Maze Runner, is currently on a hot streak with new releases. That said, his last film was one of the most underrated movies of 2025, even though it earned a near-perfect 97% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Dylan O'Brien Stars In The Dark Comedy Twinless – What It's About

Twinless is easily one of the most underrated movies released in 2025 and is a must-watch for fans of Dylan O'Brien. The film, which was released back in September, earned a 97% Rotten Tomatoes score as well as a 94% audience score, making it hands down one of the most acclaimed movies of last year.

O'Brien plays twin brothers Roman and Rocky in Twinless, one of whom tragically passes away. As a result, the surviving twin joins a support group for grieving people in a similar position, referred to as "twinless twins." The innovative film serves as both a dark comedy and a psychological drama and was written and directed by the promising young filmmaker James Sweeney.

While O'Brien delivers one of his career-best performances in the film, he is joined by a talented supporting cast that includes Lauren Graham, Kody Harvard, Aisling Franciosi, Cree, and Sweeney himself. The film is relatively brief at just 110 minutes and is streaming now exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu, where it has become an instant streaming hit since it was added last week.

With O'Brien's Send Help already getting strong reviews ahead of its January 30 wide theatrical release date, there's no better time to watch Twinless if you have yet to do so. While both films are very different in style and genre, one being a dark comedy and the other being a monster horror, both are R-rated and offer some of O'Brien's best onscreen performances.

O'Brien is joined by co-star Rebecca Hall in Send Help, which is directed by prolific filmmaker Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, The Evil Dead). Many are calling Send Help a return to Raimi's horror roots, which is another reason to get excited about its upcoming release. In the meantime, Twinless is one of the very best new-to-streaming movies available this weekend and is absolutely worth checking out.
