Some Grand Theft Auto 6 fans are already over the marketing campaign for the upcoming AAA monster. These days, it feels like we're getting more information about GTA lawsuits and delays than actual gameplay news.

Over on X, GTA 6 Countdown has discovered something that might be relevant sooner than later. Rockstar might be gearing up for something big if this pans out.

Where is GTA 6 Trailer 3?

We're Waiting For It

According to the leak, Rockstar has updated several YouTube playlists, including one related to GTA 6. While this could be a behind-the-scenes reconfiguration of their videos, it could also point to an imminent GTA 6 trailer.

In late 2023, we got our first taste of GTA 6. Following a leak of the first trailer, Rockstar put it out themselves, and we got to see what the studio has been cooking all this time. In May 2025, we got the second trailer, which showcased the protagonists, some needle drops on the soundtrack, and a lot more gameplay. Now we're waiting for Rockstar to follow up, especially after all the delays.

Comparing Grand Theft Auto V, the trailer drops are roughly aligned. GTA V got two teaser trailers, a full gameplay trailer, and a final launch video right before launch. That strategy can still hold, with a potential third video coming in the next few months, followed by a near-launch blowout.

Of course, Rockstar could go even harder with GTA 6's marketing campaign. It's even bigger than its predecessor, and each trailer pulls in tens of millions of views, making it one of the most-viewed on the entire internet. Plus, GTA 6's online component deserves its own trailer, assuming it's ready for launch.

It's possible we could see an entire campaign dedicated to the next iteration of GTA Online, which is currently being tested internally and could launch alongside GTA 6 proper. If it's delayed separately, we could be seeing GTA 6 trailers for several years, including the eventual PC release video.

Fans Are Getting Impatient

As you can tell by the timeline of trailer drops, fans are getting tired of waiting for GTA 6 in general, much less extra trailers. One fan on X replied, "We're still not getting it before 2029," with another noting, "Rockstar takes breath… and y’all already spamming refresh on the playlist like crazy."

While we're not sure when the next GTA 6 trailer is going to drop, some fans are already over it and will believe the updates when they see them. For now, Rockstar seems to have their hands full on multiple levels. So much so, that another delay isn't out of the question.
