A new update for an NCIS show that ended way too soon paves the way for it to be potentially saved from its cancelation. In 2025, NCIS made history by having several shows from the same franchise airing in the same week. While NCIS, NCIS Origins, and NCIS: Sydney aired on CBS, Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo's comeback project streamed on Paramount+.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva marked the first installment in the universe to be on streaming. Unfortunately, while it reportedly posted good numbers, it was eventually canceled by Paramount+ after just one episode. Meanwhile, the trio of network shows from the same umbrella were all renewed past the 2025-2026 TV cycle. Now, however, a new update about NCIS: Tony & Ziva may actually result in saving the show.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva Finally Becomes Available On Digital

Three months after it wrapped up its 10-episode run on Paramount+, NCIS: Tony & Ziva is finally available on digital. Currently, it is accessible on all PVOD (Premium Video On Demand) platforms, including Apple TV Store and Fandango at Home.

Aside from the show's complete run of Tony and Ziva's debacle across Europe, this version of the project will also come with some bonus content, such as three featurettes, gag reel, and two deleted scenes that are exclusive to the format, among others.

Considering that it's the first show in the NCIS franchise to break the traditional mold, seeing a behind-the-scenes peek at how the project came about will be an interesting watch for anyone who has been a fan of these procedurals for years. Beyond that, it's also a great way to get more Weatherly and de Pablo in their roles.

How NCIS: Tony & Ziva's Digital Performance Could Result In Its Cancelation Reconsideration

Admittedly, NCIS: Tony & Ziva becoming available to digital is not new. Almost all TV shows and movies get the same treatment after some separation from their original releases. That said, giving fans another way to watch the show can have an impact on the ongoing campaign to save the series, Paramount, other streamers, or maybe even CBS could see that there's a demand for the show when they see its performance on digital.

Both Weatherly and de Pablo have been committed to playing their characters for a while longer, so it shouldn't be difficult to convince them to come back for another run at it, if NCIS: Tony & Ziva gets a new broadcaster. Its ending, while could also double as proper send-off, left enough loose ends for a second season to build on.

Amid the ongoing wait for Ellie Bishop's cliffhanger resolution in NCIS season 23, CBS has already revealed how her comeback narrative will pan out.

As legacy characters, people have deep investment in Tony and Ziva. Their return to the NCIS world after a decade was one of the biggest surprises that the franchise has pulled in the last few years. With a separate setting fully established, it seems a waste to not at least give it another chance. Luckily now, fans have another way for their petition to be heard — by supporting the show's release on digital.
