The perfect new Netflix show to binge in one night has officially arrived and is already becoming a massive streaming hit. With just 6 episodes, all 30 minutes or less, there's truly no better – or funnier – show to binge on Netflix this weekend.

This brand new Netflix comedy series was released on Thursday, January 22, and instantly became an overnight viral sensation, ranking in the #2 spot in the U.S. right now. After you watch Netflix's most intense live event of all time, Skyscraper Live, check out this hilarious must-see and top-trending new series.

Free Bert Just Dropped On Netflix – What It's About

Netflix's new 6-part comedy series Free Bert is one of the most popular shows on the platform heading into the weekend. With a total runtime of 2 hours and 34 minutes, this movie-length comedy series can easily be binge-watched in just one sitting.

Starring comedian and podcaster Bert Kreischer, Free Bert follows Bert, who plays an exaggerated version of himself, as he and his family deal with the cultural pressures and expectations of their wealthy Beverly Hills neighborhood. Those familiar with Kreischer know how funny this is, as the comedian is well-known for pushing boundaries and crossing lines, while also being a fantastic comedic storyteller.

While Free Bert is about a family, it is certainly not a family show and is built on a classic, even nostalgic, early 2000s comedy vibe similar to movies like Wedding Crashers and Superbad. This seems to be a winning formula for Netflix, home of other edgy comedy shows like Tires and Bad Thoughts, based on Free Bert's skyrocketing success straight out of the gate this weekend.

Free Bert Is Perfect For A Hilarious One-Night Binge

After watching all six episodes of Free Bert, I would suggest it to fans of Bert Kreischer and raunchy comedy movies who aren't easily offended by comedic content. It's a more full-bodied and polished comedy series than I expected it to be, with an intriguing main storyline, a solid supporting cast, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, some more shocking than others.

Notable cameos include Rob Lowe, T-Pain, and Pacman Jones, while supporting roles by Chris Witaske (The Bear), Matthew Del Negro (Mayor of Kingstown), and Arden Myrin (The Righteous Gemstones) help keep this series afloat. Child actors Ava Ryan and Lilou Lang, who portray Kreischer's real-life daughters Georgia and Ila, are surprisingly hilarious and fill out a great ensemble.

Netflix has a wide selection of strong new binge-worthy offerings heading into the weekend, including the new sports romance series Finding Her Edge and overlooked 2026 Oscars snubs. If you're looking for some guaranteed laughs right now, Free Bert is a safe bet as it surges on Netflix's U.S. streaming chart.
