Colin Egglesfield Shares Health Update After Cancer Journey
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is facing a scary health journey.
The Jersey Shore alum shared that after years of receiving abnormal pap smear results—which led to closer monitoring by her physicians—further testing through a colposcopy and biopsy revealed her cervix has cancerous cells.
“Results come back,” she said in her Jan. 21 TikTok video detailing her experience. “Doctor calls me and he’s like, ‘Not looking great.’ He found cancerous cells on the top of my cervix.”
Polizzi noted she will need to have an additional cone biopsy under anesthesia for further testing, but though she feels “terrified,” she is focused on getting answers.
“It’s scary,” she said, “but we have to get it done because cervical cancer is nothing to joke about."
Part of the reason Polizzi decided to share her journey so far, is because she initially “waited” on scheduling her appointments out of stress.
“So ladies, stay on your appointments is basically what this video is about,” the 38-year-old said, “because we're talking the future. If now this biopsy comes back, not great, the next step would be a hysterectomy.”
And though Polizzi—who shares three kids with husband Jionni LaValle—said she’s “obviously” done having kids, she still grew emotional while talking about the possible procedure.

“The thought of getting a hysterectomy—it’s sad and it's scary,” she said. “I'm done having kids, but the thought of not being able to have kids, I think that's what's killing me. But whatever, whatever to keep me healthy and safe, to be here for my kids that I have now.”
The reality TV star also sought out advice and comfort from her followers.
“I would love for just the community of mamas who has gotten this done and is dealing with this to just comment below,” she asked. “So we have a community of us who are scared and dealing with this to be there for each other, because being a woman is not easy, and this is definitely a scary thing. And I know I'm going to be fine. It's just—it's scary.”

And indeed, in addition to supportive comments from her fans, Polizzi’s video was soon also full of well wishes from her loved ones.
As fellow Jersey Shore alum Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancolo wrote, “Love you! You got this,” while Jenni Farley shared a similar message of love. Deena Nicole Buckner, meanwhile, affirmed, “We’re all here for you.”
