Olivia Rodrigo issued a statement on Sunday condemning the deadly actions of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Not counting the two American citizens recently gunned down on Minneapolis streets, a reported six detainees have died in ICE custody this year on top of the 32 detainees who perished last year.
The 22-year-old pop star - who boasts 61.2 million social media followers - wrote via Instastory: 'ICE's actions are unconscionable but we are not powerless. Our actions matter. I stand with Minnesota.'
Rodrigo reposted political commentator Ben Sheehan's script/guide to call senators and urge them to 'filibuster the upcoming Homeland Security appropriations bill' if nothing changes as well as his post blasting ICE as a 'murderous federal agency.'
On Saturday, video showed ICU nurse Alex Pretti, 37, being shot 10 times while being tackled to the ground after his licensed gun was safely removed by an ICE agent.
CNN reported Sunday that US District Judge Eric Tostrud granted a temporary restraining order blocking federal agencies from destroying or altering evidence related to the case.

On January 8, the three-time Grammy winner celebrated the fifth anniversary of her debut studio album Sour.
'I'm so excited to announce an upcoming series of reimagined SOUR covers from some of my favorite artists ever,' Rodrigo wrote.
'We're starting off insanely strong with an incredible reworking of Drivers License from one of my all-time heroes, David Byrne. David is nothing short of a legend and I actually cried when I heard his version of this song.
'You can stream it now or pre order a seven-inch vinyl with his cover and our version of Burning Down the House from [Governor's Ball]. I'm stoked! Go give it a listen.'
Speaking of which, it's been six months since the Obsessed singer concluded her 102-date, $209.1 million-grossing Guts World Tour.
Rodrigo's next release - a cover of The Magnetic Fields' 1999 song The Book Of Love - is the closing track of the 23-track charity album Help(2), which drops March 6.
Arctic Monkeys, Black Country, New Road, Cameron Winter and Pulp will also be featured on the record donating all proceeds to the independent organization War Child.
