Prime Video’s best sci-fi series is standing alone at the top of streaming charts now more than halfway through its sophomore season. The second season of Fallout began streaming near the end of 2025, and with six episodes under its belt, it’s comfortably at #1 at the top of streaming charts. Fallout has even held off the new season of The Night Manager, the hit action thriller starring Tom Hiddleston, and Beast Games, the reality series from the popular YouTube celebrity Mr. Beast. Fallout continues to stand taller than even Reacher, the hit action series starring Alan Ritchson, before its fourth season arrives.

Fallout Season 2 picks up with Lucy (Ella Purnell) and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) roaming the wasteland, where Lucy looks for her father and The Ghoul looks for his wife and daughter. Things come to a head in Episode 5, when Lucy’s father, Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) finds her, and The Ghoul gets launched onto a pole by a power fist wielded by Lucy. For most of the latest episode, which began streaming this past Wednesday, it seemed like The Ghoul was doomed to die on the same pole that Lucy left him on. However, the Super Mutant makes its Fallout debut and saves him.

Fallout was written and created for TV by Geneva-Robertson Dworet and Graham Wagner, with Chaz Hawkins, Chris Brady-Denton, and a team full of talented writers filling out the rest of the writers' room. The show was renewed for Season 3 last year, months before the arrival of Season 2, and the third season is expected to go into production any day now. It will most likely premiere sometime next year.

Is ‘Fallout’ the Best Video Game Adaptation?

Fallout has a strong case for being the best video game adaptation of all time. Another show that is also in the running for the same title is The Last of Us, though many fans of the show preferred Season 1 to Season 2. The Last of Us has also been renewed for Season 3, but game creator Neil Druckmann has exited the show to focus on his next game in the works at Naughty Dog. Zach Cregger is also working on a Resident Evil movie that could go down as one of the stronger modern video game adaptations.

Check out the first six episodes of Fallout Season 2 on Prime Video, and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.
