Russell T. Davies & Nicola Shindler To Give Series Mania Masterclass

Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies will lead a Series Mania masterclass alongside his long-time producing partner Nicola Shindler.

The pair, who have worked on It’s a Sin, Years & Years and Queer as Folk down the years, will unveil first look clips from and discuss their new Channel 4 show Tip Toe.

They will undoubtedly also look back on a pair of stellar careers during which they have made some of Britain’s most popular and critically acclaimed drama series. Shindler, who runs Quay Street Productions, was the recipient of the third annual ‘Woman in Series Award’ at the Series Mania forum in 2023.

Tip Toe stars Alan Cumming and David Morrissey as two homosexual neighbors in Manchester and “explores the most corrosive forces facing the LGBTQ+ community today, examining the danger as prejudice creeps back into our lives.”

Series Mania takes place March 21 to 28. Fremantle bosses Jennifer Mullin and Andrea Scrosati will also address the Lille confab.
