Taylor Swift will not be performing at 2026 Grammys amid wedding planning with fiance Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift is not expected to perform at the upcoming Grammy Awards on February 1, and her attendance has not yet been confirmed.

Grammys executive producer Ben Winston addressed, clarified and shut down the rumors that the superstar will be present at this year's annual award ceremony.

This comes amid reports that Swift and her fiancé Travis Kelce are facing their 'first real test' in their relationship while wedding planning

Swift, 36, notably did not receive any nominations as her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, was released just outside of this year's eligibility period, over a month after the August 2025 cutoff date.

After HITS Daily Double published a rumor that she would be performing, he cleared it up in an interview with the same publication on January 22.

'The only reason people think Taylor might be performing or coming is because HITS decided to print it this week and put it in their HITS List, and it was picked up globally,' he told the outlet.

'But HITS just totally made that up. And now I am getting asked about it by you, as if it's a real thing, when it was made up in your office! That really is a full-circle rumor!'

This comes just a little over a month after Swift hinted at her next album being released sooner rather than later

She dropped The Life of a Showgirl in October 2025 and has released nine albums in the span of five years.

In her Disney+ docuseries, The End of an Era, she hinted at a forthcoming album release to eclipse The Life of a Showgirl, which she referred to as 'the biggest album of her career to date.'

At the upcoming Grammys ceremony, Sabrina Carpenter has been the first artist confirmed to be performing.

Carpenter is nominated for six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for her latest album, Man's Best Friend.

Winston said that in the days leading up to the Grammys, the academy plans to continue announcing additional performers 'like a Christmas advent calendar.'

'We think it will build excitement,' he explained. 'Sabrina's performance last year was actually the turning point of the show, because we dealt upfront with the fires and there was quite a somber feel to it.'

She has taken the Grammy stage in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2021. For her second time, she performed with music legend Stevie Nicks in January 2010

Following the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles last year, he said there was pressure on Carpenter but she delivered.

'We were relying on Sabrina to turn the tide and go, "Okay, now we can have fun,"' he said.

'That's a really tough thing to ask that first performer to be able to do, but nothing seems to phase her,' Winston added.

'The joy she brought allowed for the rest of the show to be celebratory and not feel like it was a night of fundraising for charity,' he continued.

'So yes, she's back,' Winston told the outlet before teasing her set. 'She's got a massive performance planned.'

The Grammys will be hosted by Trevor Noah and will air on CBS next weekend.
