Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter took to Instagram on Thursday to share a poignant note about the loss of her spouse.
The 74-year-old TV star posted a photo with her late husband Robert Altman on what would have been their 42nd wedding anniversary.
Altman, who was a lawyer and video game executive, died in Baltimore in February 2021 at the age of 73 due to complications from a medical procedure. They had two children together: Jessica and James.
'Robert Altman was a powerful man, but above all, he was the most decent man I have ever known. Everyone who met him can attest,' wrote the lounge singer.
'"It was a privilege to know him" is oft repeated,' she added.
'Today marks our 42nd anniversary. I love you always, Robert. Our family has never been the same without you, my love.'

She is best known for playing Wonder Woman on TV from 1975 until 1979
In 2024 she said she was not over her loss. The actress told People, 'He was the great love of my life. I think of him every day. There's so much of my day to day where I find myself thinking, "Oh Robert will know."
'Or if I'm on a flight, I still expect him to text to ask, "Did you land safely? Was everything alright?"'
She wrote a song for him called Letters From Earth.
'The soul of the song is about how you miss a person so much, because they're such a presence in your life that it's almost impossible to imagine that you won't physically see them again in this life,' she explained.
'You wonder, 'How can I communicate with you? Where are you? You didn't just die — there's too much of you left on this earth, too many people that love you.''
'I've been singing for over 50 years. I started singing in clubs when I was 14, and was writing music before I became an actor,' said Carter.
'Letters From Earth,' she says, is a love letter to those we've lost.
In 2021 she talked about him on social media.
'We shared the passion I hope everyone is lucky enough to experience in their lifetime. We protected each other and were each other's champions always,' said the Wonder Woman: 1984 star as she shared a black and white photo of the two.

Her note began, 'One week ago, my beloved husband Robert A. Altman passed away. 'Robert is the love of my life and he always will be,' she added. She then said that their 37 years of marriage was 'an extraordinary gift.'
The lounge singer added: 'We shared the passion I hope everyone is lucky enough to experience in their lifetime. We protected each other and were each other's champions always.'
Carter then talked about their kids.
'We have always been grateful for the two beautiful lives we created together: our children, Jessica and James.
'They are the lights of my life, and were the greatest joy of Robert's. I see so much of Robert in them, and I know he lives on through them,' she added.

'Jessica, James, and I want to say thank you. We especially love hearing about the times you met Robert at concerts or through his work in the gaming world. He loved meeting you and hearing your stories.'
And she shared a special note for her late husband who was born in 1947: 'You are the most honorable person that I have ever had the privilege to know. And I got to be your wife and the mother of your children. Thank you for giving me all the love in my life.'
Lynda finished with, 'Nothing could prepare our family for this moment, but we will do our best to follow our dreams and honor the legacy you've left behind. I will love you always and forever.'
Son James said of his dad, 'He was fiercely loyal to his friends, and had a way of connecting with people instantly. Inspiring them, getting the best out of them, and often teaching them with his seemingly endless wisdom.'
Carter then talked about their kids. 'We have always been grateful for the two beautiful lives we created together: our children, Jessica and James. They are the lights of my life, and were the greatest joy of Robert's. I see so much of Robert in them, and I know he lives on through them,' she added. Seen in 2018
They became close friends: Carter has gotten to know Gal Gadot (L) who is playing Wonder Woman in the movies; seen in 2017 in Hollywood, California
He worked as a lawyer in Washington, DC. First he was employed at Clifford & Warnke and then later he opened his own firm. He was also involved in a scandal surrounding the Bank of Credit and Commerce International.
He then changed careers.
Altman became the co-founder of video game company ZeniMax Media in 1986. The company published The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
Publisher Bethesda Softworks shared a statement about Robert's passing on Twitter. 'He was a true visionary, friend, and believer in the spirit of people and the power of what they could accomplish together,' the statement read.
'He was an extraordinary leaders, and an even better human being.'
In 2009, ZeniMax acquired id Software. And in 2020, Microsoft acquired ZeniMax in a deal worth $7.5 billion.
